Maggie Quinn Art – Spring Garden of Artists on Chaleur Bay

Chapter One

It began Saturday December 16, 2023. That was the day I began my first piece and put up a notice on FB for my next exhibit. It was to take place May 1 – May 14 2024.

This is the story of my present exhibit – Face and Frame.

Best Buddy gave me the MP4 containing the file with the music he created to a poem I wrote. I would be using this as background for the May exhibit and an accompanying video which we would make and share online.

I guess the pop-up word that prompted me was ‘incommensurability’. I don’t recall where I first heard this word but it seemed just about right considering all those little shards I’d been finding strewn across the path I had been on for several years. I thought of using the word as a title. Then, no, I realized that it would be taken as yet another pretension on my part. It might even be seen as a challenge to others or a failure on my part to transform the rock-pile of my life into a beautiful garden.
