I’d like to talk about a historic property in Bathurst, NB, Canada. It is fondly called “The Old Post Office’ by locals who live here. In some of the small communities along Chaleur Bay it is also gaining a name as a possible future art centre. As can be seen in the above exerpt of a letter written by me in 1997, it has been almost thirty years that I’ve been waiting and hoping for this.

I had just about given up hope when the building was given over to a sporting goods store some years back. Other changes happened as the years passed and I transferred my interest to the Doucet-Hennessy house, prominent on the hilltop directly across the bridge from downtown Bathurst where the old post office sat waiting.
